• F-1 Tiger Stripe cattle. Hear and see how a real Texas ranch operation works.
• The Longhorns. Our steer Oreo allows guests to sit on him for photos, or take photos of themselves standing next to Sundance, whose horns measure nearly 9 feet across from tip to tip.
• Prehistoric nomadic Indian sites
• Buffalo jump
• Knibbe Knoll with panoramic views of the spectacular Texas Hill Country and wildlife viewing

Armadillo Races

Armadillo races

This event is sure to get everyone cheering! In this interactive competition, each team must do whatever it takes to move their real Texas Armadillo — without using their hands. Blowing on the ears or tail usually does the trick. This popular event is a great photo opportunity and sure to be remembered.

Mechanical Bull

Mechanical Bull

Unlike the bulls in the movie Urban Cowboy, our new Mechanical Bull is electronically operated and provides a much safer ride than the old hydraulic type. Our bull sits in the middle of an inflatable landing pillow. It’s every bit as exciting as the original. Your guests can compete for the longest ride – and everyone can take pictures.

Interactive Archeology

Interactive Archeology

We’ll show your guests how the prehistoric people used midden rocks  to cook their food.

Archeologists have found authentic bison bones to confirm that this area was a bison kill site, or commonly called a “buffalo jump.”

Guests to the ranch are introduced to and can experiment with the atlatl, the surprisingly effective spear throwing weapon of the period. This weapon creates the thrust needed to kill smaller animals like deer or antelope.

Texas Characters

Texas Characters

Guests enjoy seeing larger-than-life Texas characters at some events, and our local colorful folks aim to please. The luxury ride to and from the city is especially memorable if guests are entertained by:
• Saloon girls. These beautiful entertainers are adorned in old-timey saloon girl outfits and meet and mingle with your guests. Very popular for photo opportunities.
• Gamblers and card sharps.
• Indians
• Pioneers

Once onsite, more practical demonstrations of early Texas skills and interactive games can be magical:

• Trick roper. Our amazing trick roper can lasso just about anything. Great for meet-and-greets, his presentation is very interactive. Horse tricks, Bullwhips and Guns all come into play.
Quick draw competition. After a practical demonstration by our expert pistol handler, your guests can get in on the fun and reenact shootouts with a real pistol – equipped with blanks of course. This activity is exciting and fun for all.
• Rodeo Roller Roper. This fiberglas and steel horse is equipped with a saddle and attitude and is ready for any cowpoke. Simply spur the sides of the “horse” and a steel calf is released from underneath. Guests practice roping the calf, with help from our staff and the encouragement of the party.
• Interactive games. We’re ready with relaxing interactive games to give your guests plenty of options and variety. Pool tables, Foosball, Electronic Darts, Horseshoes, Volleyball, Baseball, Rodeo Olympics and much more.
• Gambling. Instead of the same old Casino night, make it a saloon gambling setting complete with colorful characters, cardsharp demonstrations and more.

Star Parties

Star Parties

Beautiful Knibbe Knoll, one of the highest points in the area, is a magical setting to watch a sunset or gaze at the full splendor of the Milky Way galaxy and places beyond.

Spectacular sunsets mark the beginning of the lovely twilight, while our astronomer sets up and focuses telescopes. We can help guests see sights such as the Milky Way, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and its rings, the Horsehead Nebula, and depending on its nightly travels, the moon in its phases.
